The 9 IAC Coaching Masteries(tm)are scored for the purpose of SCM Certification in the following manner:
Three certifiers give their immediate impression of each of 9 Masteries, as well as an overall impression of the coaching session, with no discussion or comparison of scores.
*The certifier first gives an overall impression of whether the coaching session was Competent (3 Pt), Proficient (4 pt) or Masterful (5 pt). No points are awarded for less than Competent coaching.
*If the coach does not use a mastery or expresses it in a mistaken manner, the score for that mastery is 0 points.
*If the coach's expression of a mastery is limited, the scores is 3 points.
*If the coach expresses a mastery well, but not well enough for the client to experience full value, the score is 4 points.
*If the coach expresses a mastery well enough that the client fully experiences a shift, clarity, confidence, or whatever is the full effect of that mastery, the score is 5 points.
A perfect final score is 50 points.
Minimum passing score for SCM-CC is 38 points. Every Mastery must be expressed at a level of 3 or higher. All but two Masteries must be expressed at a level of 4 or higher. Coach must demonstrate all Masteries at a level of 4 or higher with at least one of their coaching sessions.
Minimum passing score for SCM-CMC is 45 points. Every Mastery must be expressed at a level of 4 or higher with both submitted coaching sessions.
Finally, each certifier gives his/her recommendation for passing, based on their own scoring. Or in rare cases, a certifier may choose to PASS a session with LESS than 38/45 points, because the coaching session didn't meet the current definition of the Masteries, but the client received full value. Two out of three certifiers must recommend passage in order for the session to pass and be accepted for certification.
Scores are figured automatically and a PDF summary of the scores is emailed to the coach as soon as all three scores are obtained.
When the coach has supplied all references, their 2 coaching sessions will be sent to all 3 certifiers. When the coach has passed two sessions, the SCM Certified Coach or Certified Mastery Coach designation will be awarded.
