That
is my favorite koan/paradox/mind-bender. I think we may be closest
to the Truth when we're genuinely curious. We're also closest to
being in our Greatness and to developing real Mastery when we are
curious about the Truth. What do you think?
That's why "It's
not what you know it's what you find out that matters" is our
tagline for this new multi-media newsletter/forum that we're
launching here. It gets to the point of why we're even doing this:
Because it's not what I can tell you that matters, it's what you
can find out by asking anyone else in this community and what I
can find out by asking you and all the other smart coaches here.
That can be tremendously valuable for all of us, now. Would you
agree?
The Mastery
Coach Exchange format plays into the phenomenon I call, "Googlezation".
Professionals used to charge a lot of money to share their vast
knowledge of some narrow field, but now that more information than
has ever before existed in the history of humankind is now easily
available to virtually everyone within seconds, that old expertise
is worth pennies on the dollar, especially in today's business world,
which is evolving at the speed of light ~ Speed is King. (Learn
more about "Googlezation" in the upcoming course, New Paradigms
for Coaches. Go here
for details of this and other upcoming classes)
So what you
can learn is vitally important. In fact, it's what you learn
after you think you know it all that keeps you successful. But
learning takes time…
That's why
what you can find out is sometimes even more valuable than what
you can learn. Not convinced, yet? Check the video here.
This matters
because coaching mastery isn't just about how you coach. It's
about who you are and how you operate. It's about asking more than
telling. Make sense?
We can't
learn everything, but we can and must find out everything we
need to know - and anything our clients need to know - quite quickly
- and we can do that if we know how and where to find it.
And funny
thing about great coaches: After asking so many questions, they
know a lot of stuff!
So here's
the best way to leverage your subscription to the Mastery Coach
Exchange: Don't just read the articles, listen to the audios and
watch the videos, join the MCX Forum and actively participate
in conversations between top coaches, rising-star coaches and new
coaches, because when it comes to what we can find out, we're all
on equal footing.
And do check
the articles, announcements and humor in this newsletter.
Ask
what you don't know; share what you do. Help tease out what none
of us knows. You'll find out what you need quickly and even
learn stuff you didn't know you needed! (Not a member of the forum
yet? Join here.)
And because coaching is about Servant Entrepreneurship, forward
this newsletter to others who need to find out ~ quickly!
