Can You Make a Living as a Life Coach?
As President of the School of Coaching Mastery, I talk to new coaches and people who want to become coaches every week.
Recently a couple of them asked me if it's possible for a life coach to make a living "in this recession."
Absolutely!
The veteran coaches that I know are doing well. Some have told me that they are doing better than ever. And of the new coaches that I know, all of them are getting clients. Some of them have filled their coaching businesses in a matter of months, right in the middle of the economic downturn. If you're using the right tools and giving it enough time and energy, you can definitely do it in under a year.
But if you need to make a living immediately, do be sure to have a job, spouse or savings that can support you while you build your business. Money fears can scare away clients.
Tangible Life Coaching Opportunities
But here's the real reason I'm writing. School of Coaching Mastery is always looking for new opportunities for our coaching students, so we've partnered with a couple of companies that have told us that they need life coaches. I'm pretty picky about who I work with, so before I decided to partner with Compass, I checked it out with coaches who had inside knowledge to be sure it was a great company and that what they offer is indeed a benefit to my coaching students. I'm confident that Compass has many benefits for new life coaches, as well as veteran life coaches.
